Unsere Sedex-Membership/ SMETA 4-Pillar Audit

Through our voluntary membership at Sedex for 10 years, we have been committed and have successfully complied with the BSCI International Code of Business Conduct (Business Social Compliance Initiative). BSCI is widely recognized and stands for ethical conventions, social and environmental standards. It is based on codes of practice and ILO Conventions, the ETI Code, SA 8000 and ISO 14001. Sedex requires compliance with wide-ranging ethical principles in such areas as: employee rights, job satisfaction, occupational safety, health and environmental protection. In this regard, Heyne & Penke has been successfully audited by TÜV Rheinland for the SMETA 4-pillar version (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit):

• Human Rights

• Health & Safety

• Environmental Sustainability

• Business Integrity

For us, as for the entire Sedex platform, these 4 pillars are the foundation of our business practice.

SMETA is designed to facilitate ethical audits and data exchange, avoiding any duplication of multiple audits. It is an audit methodology and a compilation of best practice ethical audit techniques. It guarantees and provides all parties with an audit of the highest quality, expertise and validity. We gladly share our latest audit data with our customers and can provide them with access to relevant information on the Sedex platform, should they be interested in it.
