Ecological regards have increasingly come into focus in packaging over recent years: packaging should use as few resources as possible while remaining environmentally friendly. At the same time, product protection and presentation must never be ignored to prevent food waste. Achieving this balance requires the highest standards of quality, energy-efficient operations, and the health & safety of our employees. Every team member contributes through their commitment to achieving our goals in quality, safety, and environmental protection. Through training and continuous development, our employees are fully integrated into environmental management, protected from workplace accidents, and empowered to improve processes and workflows.
At HEYNE & PENKE Verpackungen GmbH, environmental awareness is embedded in every aspect of our production. As owners and managing directors, Peter Penke-Wevelhoff and Christoph Penke-Wevelhoff continue the longstanding tradition of Heyne & Penke: “Flexible and forward-looking, we align future investments and the development of sustainable packaging solutions primarily with the requirements of our customers.”
Our environmental policy and objectives are fully aligned with our strategic corporate vision. Over the years, we have taken numerous steps to demonstrate our awareness of packaging’s environmental impact and to implement measures that minimize this impact as effectively and rapidly as possible. Together with our technical departments, we develop individually tailored, eco-friendly packaging solutions for every customer. Beyond protecting nature, the well-being of our employees—at our nearly 120-year-old family business—is a top priority.
We are proud of our achievements to date and look optimistically toward the future, knowing there is still much to improve. It is exciting to be part of this era of rethinking in the world of food and non-food packaging!

Corporate mission statement on
Environmental awareness is fully integrated into our mission statement. Particular attention is given to the sustainability of our products through advanced environmental technologies and efficient use of resources. Our ecological production standards are maintained at the highest level, from material recycling to minimizing energy consumption. Environmental responsibility, however, extends beyond technical measures to include organizational processes within the company and advising clients on specific ecological concerns.
